Hi World,
It has been a long time since I last wrote. Mom has been sick and that took the mood out.
Anyway I spent the last 4 days at the World Internet Mega Summit with more than 3000 people. As expected there were many great speakers who showcased their wonderful products. If I have tons of money I would not mind getting most of them.
Being the second time at the internet seminar, the first being UYMG in March, I am happy to announce that I have graduated from the Internet Idiot to a Newbie in Internet Marketing . Thanks to my mentor, internet marketing language is no more Greek to me. I enjoyed myself this time round especially the networking part and I got many tips from the experts waiting to put into action.

Talking about Newbie, I would like to show you my first patchwork project. I was so proud of this pair of patchwork cushions. Why don’t you give this simple pattern a try? Contact me if you need guide for the patchwork patterns until I figure out how to give instructions online.
In anything we start from the beginning and slowly go to the next level.
See you soon.

The high tea spread on Mother’s Day at Carousel was delicious. It was good having reason to dress-up and to forget the kitchen. And at night was another get-together organised by my in-laws.
It has been a great outing but on the way home I received news of the demise of an ex-colleague. She succumbed to cancer after battling for almost a year leaving behind 5 young kids. She had always been a cheerful person and was still her bubbly self even though she was too weak to walk on my last visit. Leaving us when many were celebrating Mother’s day, I pray to God to give his kids strength to carry on without their mom. Although I am almost half a century old, my own mom never fail to check whether I have eaten whenever I visit her.
I did this cross-stitch sampler in 1991. Contact me for the pattern if you are interested.
To me Home is Sweet with Mom around.

Hi there,
Mother’s day is just around the corner and I am very excited, looking forward to high tea with my four other sisters - a treat from our daughters. We have already booked a table at Carousel for 10.
A small project for mom, eyeglass case, which can be easily pieced in a few hours.
For info, Seminole patchwork is also known as strip patchwork which involves quick-piecing. Seminole patchwork were used for clothing by the South Eastern Native Americans. In the late 1800s it was a long trip from the Everglades to trade for cotton cloth so women began joining long strips made from the fabric left on the end of the bolts to make what was known as “strip clothing”. The sewing machine became available around the end of the 19th century making it possible to use much smaller strips. Seminole designs grew to become even more elaborate and complex and were usually used for traditional dress. Beautiful Seminole patchwork patterns eventually become popular in quilt making as well.
Happy piecing and Happy Mother’s day to all Moms.
Oceans of love from me,
