Dad, did U smile today?

Did u smile today?Happy Father’s Day dad. Did you smile today?

My father has always been a quiet person, answering questions in monosyllables and most times with just a smile.

And I have always been daddy’s little girl. I cannot recall going to doctors when I was growing up. Each time I fell sick my dad would turn doctor, reciting some mantras into the plain water to let me drink.
Special Father

This went on until I was a mother of 3. I remember the time I had an unusually bad and prolonged stomach ache. Instead of going to the doctor, I called Dad. I called him when my second child had a bad fall. I called him when my third child ran high fever until couldn’t walk that the GP was worried and ordered him to be sent to hospital. Dad again came to the rescue, tirelessly applying reflexology until my boy was back on his feet again after about 24 hours.

He was also the one I called for my electrical and plumbing problems. Now he is in advanced stage of Parkinson. His voice is almost inaudible but I’m glad he can still smile especially when I ask him silly questions.

This cross-stitch card which I stitched can be also made into gift tag and this can be sewn in just a few hours.

See you soon.

Stitched with Love

Sharifah’s weddingOne of my favorite nieces got married last school holidays. I didn’t have time to sew anything beautiful to give her as wedding present except the pair of cushions and a matching tissue box cover.

Weaved cushion cover

Something simple and small but when stitched with love can make a lot of difference to any gifts. So you may like to try weaving the ribbons. I used 2 colours of gold and off white (0.25in width) to match her wedding bedspread.

Happy weaving.

Lots of love,
