I have been quite tied up these days and did little sewing and beading. Just a little update for my second son’s quilt in progress. I have finished with the piecing of the top layer and hoping to do the quilting this weekend. I am using the quick-piecing method so please don’t think I laboriously join small pieces of colorful materials together. I just don’t have that much time. Housekeeping and cooking already take up a lot of my time. Sometimes I’m too tired that I end up surfing and reading blogs only. But whatever little time I have for my sewing and beading hobby gives me much satisfaction and nothing beats that joy when you get something nice done with your own two hands.

I simply love the vibrant colors and the scallops at the edge of the quilt which remind me of crayons. Until my next update, take care all of you.

What an interesting decision of colours have you here… And with white background. Interesting. I like it. To watch your work provoke in me the wish to see something in persian style, you know. Strange associations takes out my head.

Dear Liudmila, you are now inspired by patchwork and stones. The artistic and creative you has awakened and you also love animals and flowers. So you are actually a warm, loving and creative person yourself. And Persian art is beautiful and intricate as can be seen in their rugs and carpets. I think I will make something out of batik as I can easily get Indonesian and Malaysian batiks here.

Oh, this is a great idea! I’ll wait when you have time for it. And I am at the point to order the first stones for my stone-eshop. I’ll use free sites and blogs for landing pages and… Maybe you have some suggestions for me or you know suppliers there by you? I found an interesting supplier and some friends are interested in the healing thins I want to buy there.

Liudmila, stone e-shop? That’s interesting, do keep me informed. The stones that I bought over the internet are meant for beaded jewelries, so they are polished, cut and not raw stones. Check out firemountaingems.com I bought some from Ebay.com too.I am waiting for my Azurite to be shipped.

Thanks Lynne. You are doing much more sewing than me and your handworks are awesome.
