Eyeglass case pattern
Use the rotary cutter to cut the strips as below.
Pink : 1 strip 1.75 in x 22 in
Blue : 2 strips 2 in x 22 in
Cream : 2 strips x 2 in x 8 in and 1 strip x 7 in x 1.5 in

Sew the pink and blue strips together with the pink color in the middle. Press seams away from center strip. Trim ends straight. Cut the sewn piece into 1.75 in wide strips. You should get 12 pieces.
Take 6 strips for each set and lay them out diagonally. Sew the cut pieces together to form 2 sets of 6 diamonds.
Next, cut off the ends, leaving 4 diamonds. Make sure you leave 1/4in seam allowance at both ends.
Join the diamond strips together, alternating with 2 side pieces of cream strips. Baste felt on wrong side of patchwork. Fold piece lengthwise with right sides together and stitch along the length. Neaten with edging machine if you have.
With the diamond patterns bottom layer directly over the top layer, stitch across the bottom of the case. Neaten the edge.
Turn case inside out. Baste the binding strip around top of caste and stitch. Turn side of binding strip under, baste and stitch the top of the case.
All seam allowances is 0.25in. Make a habit of ironing the seams at each stage.
Variation
This case is a slight variation with full 3 diamonds in the middle, half diamond each at both end. For this pattern you will need 1 pink and 1 cream of 18in x 2in strips, 1 blue strip of 18in by 1.75in. Less wastage unlike the four full diamond pattern. use variations of colors as you wish.
You will get 2 sets of 5 diamonds for this case and trim off the ends, not forgetting the seam allowances.
