Just Married

This post is dedicated to my brother who got married last weekend. It was just a simple ceremony with close friends and relatives. He is lucky to have such a pretty wife with 2 adorable girls in tow from the bride’s previous marriage.

And just look at the cheerful girls. With family like us where male population could easily form an army battalion and girls are very few , these 2 new additions become is an instant hit with everyone.

I wish the couple a blissful wedded life and lots of happiness and laughter always.

Oh, great photos and thanks for sharing them. It’s so interesting to read about wedding ceremonies in other countries! Have you some special rituals? Like wash the parents of the new husband/wife to show them your respact?

No Liudmila. We have no such rituals. A Moslem wedding is actually a very simple affair actually with the couple, the person who solemnize the marriage preferably father of the bride or any of the close immediate male relative - in their absence or with permission someone known as the kadhi is appointed to conduct the ceremony. Besides that 2 other male witnesses are needed and the groom will give a present to his new wife, money or any material things, no fixed amount. With this 5 people and the gift the wedding can take place. Usually followed by a feast if the family can afford. No other rituals needed. But not surprisingly some Moslem marriages are influenced by traditions and cultures of the societies in which they belong.

You’re right, they are so adorable. It wasn’t easy getting them to pose for a photo, especially the little one was running around.
