Only a few days ago I was telling Sewing Mom that I am staying away from Spotlight store these days. The reason is I have a weakness for cotton materials. I say it is the quilters’ weakness. We keep buying materials, our heads full of ideas but we don’t really have so much time to finish as many projects as we would love to.
Guess what? I went to Spotlight again just now, totally unplanned, and brought home these 5 pieces of materials.
And I have alot of unsewn materials collected over many years. I even have to store them in separate places in case my better half stumbled upon them. If he ever does he may ban me from going Spotlight again, or worse case he may decide to lock me in the house. And I will then have to use all those materials in my collection to make rope like what Rapunzel did to climb down from my 7th story apartment.
So now I have some Christmas prints, I will have to think of what to do with them. Especially Christmas is around the corner and it will be nice if I can make a few gifts for my friends in time for the festive season.
And I will show you the finished projects as long as you promise not to let dear hubby knows about my little secret.
Deal or no deal?

Relax, that is a very common behavior for creative and artistic peoples.
It is commonly known as “DoraAmon syndromeâ€.
When ideas and timing strike, instantly you can take it out from your pocket (hiding place)

What DoraAmon syndrome? My ideas and timing usually don’t synchronize. DreamOn syndrome more like it.

Dear Fatiah, I want to give you a great idea for gifts. Have you ever did patchwork dolls? It’s incredibly simple and is good, nice and goes good for your internet gifts if you don’t want to abbandone that idea. You need only 2 or 3 triangles maybe made with pachwork technique: One part red (hat), middle part white (face), lower part red (cloth). In the upper part you sew some thread (hat with a “tail”). On the “face” you sew “eyes”, nose and mouth. Now sew the cube (all sides) and leave a hole. Put cotone or sand or what you want inside and cloth the hole.
I’ll post the photo of the hens this evening or tomorrow.
I had about 8 hen and a cock but when my neibghbours saw them they wanted to have them. They are very nice. So today I have only 2-3 left.

Wow! iisync, you definitely has a bright future on becoming a wordsmith…I like that…DoraAmon syndrome…it looks like you’ve coined it coz I cannot find anything on it in the internet.
Liudmila, looks like we can guess what we will be getting for X’mas
soon.
Fatiah, don’t forget that spending money (shopping) is good for the brains especially when we are ageing, that’s according to recent study, it slows down alzeihmar…if you trust them though

Lynne- Blue teapot material is for the small window near my dining area. I remember having a cross-stitch pattern of blue tea-pot. Must remember to hunt for it.

Thnks Liudmila. Looking forward for your photo.
Viv- In a way I believe their words. We are also exercising our brain when we go shopping and spending money.

Hi friend, more or less inspired by you but in no way able to be as creative as you
and never will be (I have lost touch to sewing ….). Nevertheless, some years back I did a blue teapot cross-stitch & your mention of it triggers my recollection
