To make continuous bias strip to bind a pair of 14″ to 16″ square cushions.

Pic 1Cut a square on 15″ by 15″ and then cut fabric diagonally into 2 to get 2 triangles. Pic 2Using 1/4″ seam allowance, sew the triangles with right sides together as shown in diagram.Press the seam open. Using a pencil, make horizontal markings across the longer edge of the fabric with approximately 1 1/2″ width. In this case you should get 7 equal rows of
20 1/2″ long.
Pic 3With right sides together, bring the 2 shorter ends of the fabric together but offset the joining by 1 row as in diagram. sew the edges to make a tube.Press seam open. Pic 4Beginning at the top with the first marked line, cut along the pencil ,line to create a continuous strip of binding. This will give you slightly more than 3 1/2m strip of bias enough to bind 2 pairs of square cushions.
