Stay At Home Moms

Fridge magnetsI saw someone meticulously filling up details for a membership account in the internet. Being a little impatient, I told him need not be too accurate when supplying information. For myself, most times I would fill my position as Minister and as for company where I work, I would put as Home Affairs. Not bad, I am the Minister of Home Affairs when actually I am a SAHM (stay-at-home-mom)!

And it is usual for a SAHM has to wear many hats. Not surprisingly she is the family CEO, maid, tutor, accountant, driver, counselor, chef, nurse and etc. etc. I was also the house painter last week. If we are to be paid based on a 90-hour work week plus overtime, our pay is quite substantial. But most of the time our job is a thankless one without monetary compensation except being paid tributes on Mother’s day and hopefully in our obituaries.

But I am happy to note that even though it is a demanding job, many moms excel in this labor of love.

But dear SAHMs, let’s not forget to find time for ourselves. It is important that you have activities besides housework and children. Find time for hobby like sewing, making crafts, dancing or go out with your girlfriends. Remember, you are doing a beautiful and important job so you need to stay healthy and beautiful.

Kitchen acessoriesTake a look at the video to make roses from ribbons. You can use this to decorate sewing and craft works. The size of the rose depends on the ribbon width. I usually do this way to decorate small sewing projects like the fridge magnets and kitchen accessories.

Stay beautiful!

Oh my goodness! I’m going to have to remember that, I love that title, Minister of Home Affairs! That’s great! Do you mind if I use that too? :-D

Of course not, and there are still many open positions need to be filled by capable people like us. It is a demanding career with lots of challenges but I’m sure you will do a great job too.
